I recently have been obsessed with all things Gwyneth Paltrow. I know a lot of people may think she’s a little crazy, but aren’t we all? I recently was on a flight to Dallas where they played Country Strong as the in-flight movie. Too bad my headset wouldn’t work! I watched the entire movie with no sound. Definitely looking to re-watch it soon, even though I know what happens now!
Isn’t this photo gorgeous?? So natural and beautiful.
I just picked up her new cookbook, My Father’s Daughter, and I am in LOVE with all the recipes! Tonight I made the Arugula & Tomato pasta…. so good and really easy! I cant wait to make her pancake recipe and her apple crumb muffins. Mmm!
Photos like this make me want blonde hair!
Springtime always makes me want to break out my most preppy and pastel clothing and accessories….

I have been experimenting for awhile with different shades of red in search of the perfect red lip. I tried the drugstore route first–buying random shades of red and trying them on in the privacy of my own bathroom. Not so successful. I tried on so many lipsticks, none of which looked right. I now have a huge collection of practically new CoverGirl and Revlon red lipsticks. Wahoo.
I finally gave up and went to the MAC store. It was time to get a professional involved in my search process. After trying on a few too many bright and shiny reds that weren’t quite right, I finally settled on one…. Lady Bug!
Its a “Lustre” color, so it’s not too shiny, but it’s not completely matte either. It’s going to take some getting used to, but I think I can now say that I’ve officially become a red lipstick wearer!
Lately I have been obsessed with anything and everything DIY. Too bad there are some talents that I don’t have (sewing, for example) that would be quite helpful for an aspiring DIY-er. I’ve taken some baby steps in the DIY department by making easy peasy Bow Clips for my shoes and some statement tassel earrings. What do you think?
Super easy. Made them using satin ribbon and clip on earrings.
Tassel earrings! Took me 5 mins to make. They are pretty bold, so you have to remember to wear them with NO other statement jewelry.
One of my shoes died today. Developed a large rip in the leather on the inside of the right shoe. I brought them to my shoe repair man, but he told me they would be impossible to fix. They were gorgeous nude colored patent leather pumps, that are (were) perfect for spring. After leaving work today, I immediately stopped at the first department shoe store and replaced them. The new shoes aren’t the same, but they will have to do!
Have you ever had to replace an item that you loved?
